Context

The “innovative Horizons” project aims to create a lasting impact by facilitating the professional development of adults in the social sector through innovative methodologies and knowledge sharing at European level. The key to success is effective collaboration between partner organizations, careful strategic planning, and effective communication to promote the project and its results.

Specific objectives:

  • Strengthening adults' competences in the social sector, promoting social inclusion and integration through educational innovation and European cooperation.
  • Creation of educational-multimedia resources, using active methodologies that encourage the practical application of knowledge, developing interactive training content, an e-learning platform and online collaborative tools.
  • Using blended training that combines online learning with face-to-face sessions, offering a balanced approach that leverages the best of both worlds
  • Organization of role-playing workshops where participants take on the roles of people who require social support, such as individuals with disabilities or the elderly.
  • Organization of workshops on digital skills and effective communication, in order to enhance their skills in the use of innovative methodologies and in the integration of educational technologies.
  • Promotion of diversity and inclusion, integrating specific modules that address issues related to cultural diversity and social inclusion, promoting an approach sensitive to individual differences and needs.
  • Organize exchange sessions between participants from different countries to share experiences, challenges and successes in the field of adult education and implement online reflective diaries.
  • Implementation of a continuous evaluation system to measure the impact of the project on adult competences, collecting regular feedback from participants and educators involved.

Expected outputs:

The project will develop a set of practical and accessible learning resources designed to strengthen the skills of adults and professionals working in the social sector.

The main expected outputs include an interactive e-learning platform with training modules, multimedia resources, quizzes, simulations and tools for flexible online learning. The platform will allow participants to improve their technical, digital and interpersonal skills at their own pace.

Innovative Horizons will also produce interactive training materials focused on key topics such as social inclusion, digital skills, diversity management, communication, well-being, innovation and the use of emerging technologies for inclusion.

In addition, the project will create role-playing and experiential workshops to help participants better understand the everyday challenges faced by vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities, elderly people and individuals in need of social support. These activities will promote empathy, communication and practical problem-solving skills.

The project will also include blended digital skills workshops, combining online learning with practical activities on inclusive digital communication, cybersecurity and the ethical use of digital tools in the social sector.

Finally, participants will be encouraged to use reflective learning tools, such as online journals and feedback sessions, to document their experiences, share good practices and contribute to a European collection of innovative approaches for social inclusion.
